Hi, all! We’re into a new year and boy, are things new around here! I’m truly sorry I haven’t updated since November but there has been a huge change in my life and, accordingly, I’m having to make some changes in my business. I have put a lot of thought into what I’m going to do (no, I’m not quitting Close To My Heart!) and that’s why it’s taken so long.
As you can imagine, Brianna’s arrival has turned things upside down in my home J. She’s had some hard experiences in last few months before she came to us at the beginning of December so she’s a little “high maintenance” LOL. My own children, Ray & Kenny, are having to get used to sharing Mom, Dad, toys, well, just about everything – every day is a new challenge. We’re getting ready to remodel the house to add two extra rooms (one of which will become my studio – with GOOD LIGHTING! LOL). Consequently, I’ve had to make some decisions regarding my Close To My Heart business.
I love being a Close To My Heart consultant. I love the products and I love showing them to you and teaching you how to use them. Unfortunately, considering the changes going on here at home, I’ve simply run out of hours in the day. So this is what I’ve decided to do:
Instead of aggressively building my business, I’m going back to being a “hobbyist”. What this basically means is that I’m not going to be calling you to ask you to book parties or ask if you’d like to be a consultant (bet you’re saying YAY! LOL). For right now, I’m going to have to stop doing workshops – I don’t have the time to prepare for them, basically. Sadly, this means the Kids’ Scrapbook Club that was supposed to start last month isn’t going to happen. My Close To My Heart website will also soon be history (more on that in a minute).
In order to keep you as my customer, I’m offering to share my discount with you. My consultant discount is 22%, I’ll give you half of that – 11%. The way this works is you get 11% discount from your product purchase amount before shipping & handling and tax; s/h and tax is still the full amount because that’s what Close To My Heart charges me when I place the order. While I’m not going to be soliciting parties, if you want to have one, I’ll fit it into my schedule – you and all of your guests will get the 11% discount and you’ll still get your hostess goodies. You can do a regular party or a book party. I’ll still be available to answer any questions you might have about a product or show you how to use it.
Additionally, there are several supply items that you might be interested in. I can’t offer a discount on them as I don’t get a discount on them, make no profit on them and get no commission on them. These are items that are not available to customers. These items are Close To My Heart Pajamas (M, L, XL - $24, 2XL - $28, 3XL - $31), Close To My Heart Desk Organizer ($8), Close To My Heart Rolling Bag/Backpack ($45), the Desk Pad ($8.95), the current Hostess Booking set and any previous sets if available (a $15 retail value for $4.95), and the 25-image Booking Incentive Set - this is the big set of stamps that I’m supposed to separate and give one to each gathering guest who books a party – (a $22.95 value for $12). I WANT to give it one more year but can’t justify the cost, especially to my husband (who looked at me like I’d grown an extra head when I suggested it). So I’m going to have to cancel it. Close To My Heart told me that my site will disappear on February 20 – frankly, it could disappear anytime between the 15th and the 20th as they make scheduling changes without notifying the consultants all the time. There are discounted and retired catalog items available at my website (until it goes down) – I’m not able to order these things through the consultant ordering system. So you might want to take a look and see if there’s something there you want. Unfortunately, I’m not able to offer any part of my discount on items purchased via the website because it’s all automated by the company. So take a peek and see what’s available! Also, if you don’t have a new Spring catalog yet, everything that’s in the catalog is also on the website – you can take a look and then call me with your order to get your 11% discount.
Lastly – I have the new Spring Catalogs. They’re awesome; Close To My Heart has outdone itself with what they’re offering this spring! Lots of beautiful new paper, sticker and stamp designs in My Reflections – 2 for boys, 2 for girls and a gorgeous Heritage set; plus a lot of new stamp sets throughout the catalog. AND a beautiful, gorgeous, elegant embossed floral wedding album with coordinating base pages, papers, embossed papers and stamp sets; you HAVE to see this set, I can’t adequately describe how beautiful it is . The catalog retails for $3.95: if you come and get it, it’s yours for only $2 (to cover my cost). If you place an order with your catalog request, you can pay for it with a credit card - I’m still going to be accepting credit cards (VISA, MasterCard and Discover) as that doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg J.
